Militia

Antifa

Designated a terrorist movement in the United States. Antifa Ost listed in Hungary and Washington. A murder in Portland, hammers in Germany, an arson attack on ICE. Here, a “social movement”.

WH-EO-2025-09-22

Order

Washington designates Antifa a domestic terrorist organisation

22 September 2025

Donald Trump signs an executive order: Antifa is a militarist, anarchist enterprise that calls for the overthrow of the state, the police and the law. The first time an American domestic movement has been labelled that way.

Source: White House, Executive Order, 22 Sept. 2025.

Budapest

Hungary lists Antifa Ost

2025

After the February 2023 attacks in Budapest, Viktor Orbán listed Antifa Ost on the national counter-terror list and asked the European Union to do the same. Washington cites that decision explicitly.

OR-PORTLAND-2020-08-29

Homicide

Murder of Aaron “Jay” Danielson

29 August 2020

Michael Forest Reinoehl, a militant who described himself as Antifa, shot Aaron Danielson in a Portland street. CSIS logged the attack as far-left terrorism — the first fatal one in the United States in more than twenty years. Reinoehl was killed by marshals during his arrest.

Trial

Antifa Ost, the hammer gang

2018–2023 / trial 2025

In Germany and Budapest the commando beats with hammers those it labels “fascists”. One man received at least fifteen blows, mostly to the head. Seven defendants stood trial in Dresden for attempted murder, grievous bodily harm and damage. This is not a “happening”. It is a militia.

WA-ICE-TACOMA-2019-07-13

Attack

Arson attack on the Tacoma ICE centre

13 July 2019

Willem van Spronsen, an anarchist who wrote “I am antifa”, threw incendiary devices at an ICE detention centre, aimed at a propane tank, pointed a rifle at police. He was shot. Nobody else died — by a narrow margin. A manifesto, not a misunderstanding.

Ottawa

Trudeau, then Carney

They changed the face. Not the software. The register of fiascos, from SNC-Lavalin to the 2026 tariffs.

2019

SNC-Lavalin

The ethics commissioner found Trudeau had broken the law by pressing the attorney general to spare SNC-Lavalin. Two ministers walked. Two-tier justice, already.

2022

Emergencies Act

Against the Freedom Convoy: frozen accounts, a state of exception. The Federal Court later found the invocation unreasonable. Truckers were treated as a militia — and Antifa as a feeling.

2020–2023

ArriveCAN

A quarantine app budgeted at $80,000, billed at nearly $54 million, 23 subcontractors, names redacted. Two private shops cloned a copy in a weekend for a fraction of the price.

2019–2025

Chinese interference

Beijing targets federal elections. Ottawa minimises, stalls, protects its seats. A country that will not defend its ballot boxes will not defend its borders.

2017–2024

Roxham and the tap

The Roxham path, the temporary permits, three million non-permanents. Trudeau opens. Carney inherits and continues. The people pay the rent.

2025–2026

Carney: a larger deficit than Trudeau

First budget: a $78 billion deficit. Fraser Institute: $322 billion in cumulative deficits, double the Trudeau plan. Debt heading toward $2.9 trillion. And the promise of a “better deal” with Washington — still not there, while American tariffs arrive in August 2026.

Quebec

The CAQ’s fiascos

Press-release nationalism. Fiasco invoices. SAAQclic, the third link, Northvolt, Santé Québec, temporaries out of control.

2023–2025

SAAQclic

The SAAQ’s “digital shift” blows up. Overruns, queues, a site down, ministers who “did not know”. Legault himself uses the word fiasco and orders a public inquiry in 2025.

2018–2023

The third link

Promised, brandished, budgeted in people’s heads — then buried. A whole south shore sold a ghost tunnel. CAQ nationalism often stopped at the press release.

2023–2025

Northvolt

Public billions for a battery plant. The company founders. Quebec is left with the bill and a hole in a field. The “great transition”, like the others: socialise the losses.

2024–2026

Santé Québec

A mega-structure is stacked on a network already at the end of its rope. Emergency rooms overflow, surgeries pile up, staff flee. Reforming the org chart has never healed a patient.

2018–2026

Temporary immigration

Elected to “take back control”. Permanent thresholds are debated. Temporary residents, meanwhile, explode — and they are the ones who change the schools, the public housing, the waiting rooms. Nationalist promise, federal result.

2021–2025

Espaces bleus and waste

Ghost culture houses, aborted programmes, millions spent on studies. Meanwhile Carillon falls into waste and classrooms lack teachers.

Speech

Speech made a crime

  1. C-16 · 2016

Gender identity in the statute. Pronouns and opinion become a judicial battlefield.

  2. C-11 · 2023

  3. C-63 · died 2025

Online harms, peace bonds before a crime, complaints to the CHRC. Died on the Order Paper. Software intact.

  4. C-9 · law 18 June 2026

Control

Chat Control and the digital euro

Europe scans messages “for the children” and lays the rails of a central-bank currency. Ottawa already froze accounts in 2022. The pretext changes. The switch does not.

EU-2021-1232

In force

Chat Control 1.0: the “temporary” measure until 2028

2021 / reactivated July 2026

Regulation (EU) 2021/1232: a derogation from ePrivacy to let platforms voluntarily scan private messages — CSAM, grooming, including in encrypted threads. It expired on 4 April 2026 after a majority vote of Parliament against renewal. Reactivated on 9 July 2026 — the absolute majority to kill it was missing — then confirmed by the Council on 23 July. In force until 3 April 2028.

COM-2022-209

Under negotiation

Chat Control 2.0: mandatory scanning, never buried

11 May 2022 / trilogues 2025–2026

The Commission proposal (11 May 2022) wanted mandatory detection orders, including in end-to-end encrypted messaging — an on-device scan. The Danish presidency revived the mandate in the summer of 2025; Peter Hummelgaard withdrew the mandatory orders on 30 October 2025. The Council (November 2025) kept “voluntary” detection, plus a risk duty, plus age verification. In July 2026 the knot is still not cut: voluntary, or targeted orders as a last resort.

CSAR-AGE-VERIFY

Centrepiece

Age verification: the end of anonymity

architecture 2025–2026

Even “voluntary”, the package imposes risk assessment, mitigation measures, and age verification. Patrick Breyer keeps saying it: the moment you must prove you are not a child in order to speak, anonymity falls. A messenger that must scan “if it is at risk” is no longer a messenger. It is a sensor.

Timeline

Digital euro: 2026, 2027, 2029

preparation 2025–2026

The ECB’s working assumption: a regulation adopted by the end of 2026, a twelve-month pilot in the second half of 2027, a first issuance aimed at 2029. The technical rulebook is moving. This is not a vote for “someday, maybe”. The rails are being laid.

ECB-FAQ-Q20

Architecture

“Never programmable” — but conditional

ECB FAQ / art. 16 of the draft

The ECB writes that the digital euro “will never be programmable money”. The next sentence: it may facilitate “conditional payments”. Holding caps tested up to €3,000. Zero remuneration. A “waterfall” into the bank account. A switch does not need the words “social credit”. It needs a cap, a condition, and a button.

CA-EA-2022-02

Precedent

Emergencies Act: the freeze, already

February 2022

In February 2022 Ottawa invoked the Emergencies Act against the Freedom Convoy. Accounts of protesters and donors were frozen — without a conviction. That was not a digital currency. It was already a switch. A central-bank currency would not create the power. It would make it instant.

Source: Emergency order, 15 February 2022; Rouleau Commission; asset freezes under the emergency regime.

BOC-CBDC-2024-26

On hold

Bank of Canada: “ready if needed”

September 2024 / work 2026

Ottawa muted the retail digital-dollar project in September 2024. The Bank of Canada did not bury the tool: it says it is ready “if needed”. In 2026 it is still publishing. The Atlantic Council counted 146 countries exploring a CBDC. Canada is not on the sidelines. It is waiting for the pretext.

Public

Federal non-prosecution agreement

2008

Federal prosecutor Alex Acosta buried a 32-count draft indictment. Epstein pleaded guilty to a state charge: soliciting a minor. Thirteen months, much of it on “work release” — he left six days out of seven. The victims were not informed, contrary to the law.

Thirty-five minors identified

2002–2005

The investigations identify at least thirty-five underage girls in Epstein’s network for that period alone. The file is not an “internet conspiracy”. It is an investigative finding. Almost no client has been charged.

Judgment

Ghislaine Maxwell: twenty years

29 Dec. 2021 / 28 June 2022

Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking of minors and sentenced to twenty years. The court found she recruited, groomed and delivered girls. The network had a housekeeper. It also had a clientele. The clientele remains largely out of reach.

Little Saint James — photos of the island

December 2025

The House Oversight Committee released photos and videos of the island. A temple. Locked rooms. A private archipelago beyond any local police. What the survivors described was not a tabloid rumour: it was a production site.

Flight logs

1990s–2010s

The aircraft manifests — the “Lolita Express” — put heads of state, princes, billionaires and academics on the same planes as Epstein. A seat is not proof of a crime. A decade of seats, with no serious investigation of the passengers, is proof of protection.

DOJ

3.5 million pages — still redacted

30 January 2026

The Department of Justice released more than three million pages, 180,000 images and 2,000 videos, after a law forcing transparency. Hundreds of thousands of pages remain withheld. Names are blacked out. Survivors still speak of a cover. When power “opens” a file, it still chooses what the public is allowed to read.
